SO … GMA’s, LET’S TAKE BACK SUNDAYS!!! I’m declaring Sundays as G-Mas Day … and lets all vow to do something on Sunday to acknowledge and connect with our GRANDS. Sunday traditionally was the day that families gathered at Big MaMa’s house to share the good cooking and family comradery. Let’s take our Sunday’s back by sending our GRANDS a text, an email or god forbide a call every Sunday. Fill that message with words of encouragement, words of wisdom and words of love. Simply send a text that says G-MA loves you! Please share with all of the G-Mas you want to unite with!
P.S. SO … You don’t have to have GRANDS to be a GMA … some of my friends and many of the strong, committed woman I know … have taken on that role of nurturer for so many children who may not be biologically related. Just like you don’t have to give birth to be a mom; all it takes is love, caring and kindness to be a GMA!
