SO … this week while law abiding, caring Americans were literally holding their breaths in anticipation of the outcome of the George Floyd murder trial, we were able to EXHALE in relief from the guilty verdicts on all charges.
So … the verdict wasn’t just a relief for Black Americans … although it provided an affirmation that Black Lives Matter; it was also a relief for ALL Americans in witnessing that the American judicial system can be JUST.
So … while I find it difficult to rejoice and celebrate the verdict … George Floyd is still dead and the police officer who killed him will be jailed – let’s all take solace in knowing that JUSTICE WAS SERVED.
