Giving Thanks

SO … as we are quickly approaching the Thanksgiving Holiday, many will be gathering together again since the hiatus cased by the pandemic. SO LET’S MAKE IT MEMORABLE!

SO … of course, we can start with the delicious meal, which is the highlight of the day. Make sure you pass on those secret family recipes for those special dishes to preserve their place at the family table in the future.

SO … Thanksgiving is also a great time to pay homage to our ancestors. When families and friends gather together again, take time to remember those who may not be there in body but who are definitely in our hearts and soul. ASHAY!

SO … explore new ways to make the day shine! Engage family members in new games, new songs and even new food. There’s always room at the table for something or someone new!

SO … finally, this Thanksgiving let’s just Thank GOD that we are able to gather together again with our love ones … to GIVE THANKS!

  1. As we gather with our family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving, let us not forget the history of the holiday where in 1621 the English colonizers were invited to share a meal with the indigenous people…
as the saying goes, “the rest is history!” The indigenous people’s land was subsequently stolen from them and to date most live on “reservations”….places of extreme poverty and deprivation.
So let’s view Thanksgiving as a time of reflection and truly give thanks for the Blessings 🙌 of family and friends and allow our grands to think of something for which they are thankful.
